Our cable cars and lifts in summer and winter

In the winter season from December to the end of March, we operate the two 4-seater chairlifts Sutten and Stümpfling, as well as the 2-seater chairlift on the Roßkopf and six drag lifts to transport alpine winter sports enthusiasts.

In the summer season from May to October, only the 4-seater chairlift is in operation on the Stümpfling, among other things for the "mountain carters", but also the nostalgic 4-seater cable car to the Taubenstein, which mainly transports day-trippers, hikers and sport climbers.

Taubenstein cable car

Nostalgia in summer

The Taubenstein cable car at Spitzingsee has been transporting guests for half a century. To this day, the cable car with its nostalgic charm reliably transports excursionists, mountain enthusiasts, climbers and hikers to the mountain station at 1,613 meters directly below the striking rock face of the Taubenstein. Since 2015, however, the cable car has only been in operation in summer.

Operation in summer and winter

The Stümpflingbahn cable car transports our guests in both the winter and summer seasons. In summer, it is used not only by hikers but also by action-hungry mountain cart riders. The mountain carts themselves can also be transported up on the lift.
In winter, along with the Suttenbahn and the Kurvenlift, it provides access to the ski area.

Sutten 4-seater chairlift

Access to the ski area via the Tegernsee valley

The Sutten 4-seater chairlift is only open to winter sports enthusiasts. A toll road leads from Rottach-Egern to the valley station of the Sutten 4-seater chairlift and thus to the start of the winter sports fun.

Leisurely to the top

The 2-seater chairlift on the Roßkopf takes our guests right to the top in winter. There you can enjoy the unique all-round view. Then it's downhill on the short, crisp Roßkopf descent or the long, challenging Grünsee descent.

Curved lift

As an introduction to the ski area

There are a total of six T-bar lifts in the ski area. However, the curved lift is the only one that also functions as a valley station and provides access to the ski area. It owes its name to some sharp bends on the lift route. Definitely a unique drag lift experience.

Important connections in the ski area

In addition to the curved lift, the Osthanglift at the top of the Stümpfling downhill run is the central T-bar lift in the ski area. Other T-bar lifts are

  • North slope lift
  • Dreitannen lift
  • Valepperalm lift
  • Lyralift
