Driving pleasure and safety
Please bring the following with you
Helmets are compulsory for mountain carts. Please bring your own cycling or skiing helmet if possible. Otherwise, helmets are available to borrow free of charge on site.
Sunglasses or sports glasses are highly recommended. The track gets dusty in dry weather, and they’ll protect your eyes better.
And as always in the mountains: wear sturdy footwear.
Key information at a glance
- Route length: Approximately 3.5 km from the Stümpflingbahn mountain station to the valley station
- Mountaincarts: Mountaincarts are available in three different sizes: S, M and L. You can try them out on site to see which size is right for you.
- Drive and brakes: There is no motor or engine of its own – the natural gradient of the hill sets the Mountaincart in motion. There are two brakes, just like on a bicycle, at the front of the handlebars.
- Children: Children must be at least 1.35 m tall to drive themselves; recommended age: 10 years. They must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. They are not permitted to ride on an adult’s lap.
- Weight: According to the manufacturer, the trolleys are only designed to carry a maximum body weight of 100 kg
- Please bring the following: helmet (also available to hire), sunglasses or sports glasses, identity card
- Opening hours: We open at 9.00 am; the last mountain cart hire is at 4.00 pm
