If you don't know it yet, you should definitely give it a try: Mountain carting at Spitzingsee is a hit for anyone who finds lying on the beach too boring and pedalling uphill on a bike too strenuous.
The season usually starts in mid-May and ends in October. Depending on the weather.
The Stümpfling 4-seater chairlift takes you uphill in comfort. The mountain cart hire station is located directly at the mountain station.
The mountain carts can be booked for company events, group or club events from 10 people.

Safe driving experience
With the mountain carts, a kind of go-kart for the mountains, you can race downhill from the mountain station of the Stümpfling 4-seater chairlift over a distance of around 3.5 kilometres.
Of course, the focus is not only on fun, but also on safety. The construction of the mountain carts from Bad Aibling in Upper Bavaria is made of robust but lightweight aluminium. The low centre of gravity and wide wheelbase ensure high driving stability. The modern design enables comfortable seating. The most important point, however, is the unique hydraulic dual-circuit disc brake system, which offers excellent control of the cart at all times and is extremely smooth-running.

- Route length: From the Stümpflingbahn mountain station to the valley station around 3.5 km
- Mountain carts: The mountain carts are available in three different sizes: S, M and L. You can test which size is right for you on site.
- Drive and brakes: There is no separate drive or motor - the natural gradient of the hill gets the mountain cart rolling. There are two brakes on the front of the handlebars, just like on a bicycle.
- Children: Children over 1.35 m tall may ride themselves, but must be accompanied by an adult with parental authority. They are not allowed to ride on your lap.
- Weight: according to the manufacturer, the carts are only designed for a maximum body weight of 100 kg
- Please bring your own: Helmet (also available for hire), sunglasses/sports goggles, ID card
- Opening hours: Start is at 09:00, last mountain cart hire is at 16:00
Book mountain carts
The mountain carts do not need to be booked - there are plenty of mountain carts available for a spontaneous visit.
For larger groups of 10 people or more, however, advance bookings are recommended and desirable. This ensures that the mountain carts are available to everyone at the same time for company events, group and club events.
Reservations for mountain carts are also possible at weekends, on public holidays and during the Bavarian school holidays.
Please note: We keep the reserved mountain carts free for a maximum of 30 minutes - then they go back into "open" operation.
