Night-time skiing
There is a great new night-time attraction at the Stümpfling chairlift: skiing on a floodlit slope, starting at the Jagahütt´n mountain chalet down to the Lyra-Alm, every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 6.30 to 9:30 p.m.
Ski school and ski service in the evening
31 floodlights installed along the 2.5-kilometer ski run have been providing fantastic skiing fun since 1 January 2010. A covered quad chairlift takes skiers up the mountain quickly and comfortably. Martina Loch's ski school even offers night-time ski courses (registration necessary), in addition to a ski service and equipment rental for anyone deciding to try out the floodlit skiing fun on the spur of the moment.
Aprés ski
For night-time skiers, fun is not only to be had on the floodlit slope. The Jagahütt´n chalet restaurant at the top station, the Lyra-Alm and the "base camp" at the bottom station, as well as the legendary "Tanzbar neues Spinnradl" at the Taubenstein cable car, all offer a warm and friendly ambiance in which to enjoy some aprés-ski fun. On Friday's, skiers can enjoy a special bonus - presentation of a ski pass for the floodlit ski slope entitles skiers to a free "Glühwein" (mulled wine) at the "Spinnradl".
Night-time skiing fun
A ski pass for the floodlit slope costs 15 euros for adults and 12 euros for children. A discount will be given to skiers with a season pass or a ski pass valid for that day. Come and enjoy floodlit skiing experience here at Spitzingsee!
