In the summer, the Spitzingsee-Tegernsee area extends an inticing invitation to come hike, climb or simply relax and unwind. The region, which is situated at an altitude of between 1,100 and 1,800 meters, is a popular destination for walkers and hikers wanting to escape the hub-bub of daily life well into late autumn. The spectacular views, colorful mountain medows and cozy mountain cabins leave nothing to be desired.

We invite you to start your hike with a ride up the mountain: Several of the area's most beautiful climbing and hiking routes start at the mountain stations of the cable cars and chairlifts operated by Alpenbahnen Spitzingsee GmbH. The Taubenstein cable car and the Stümpfling chairlift take visitors up the mountains quickly, comfortably and safely. The Sutten chairlift is located in Rottach Egern in the Tegernsee Valley.
