Surrounding area
The area surrounding the picturesque Spitzingsee mountain lake is very special and quite unique.
The dense forests and colorful mountain meadows in the Spitzingsee area are home to a number of different animals. With a bit of luck, you might see a golden eagle circling high above the almost untouched landscape.
The highest mountains in the Spitzingsee area are the Rotwand (1,884m), Miesing (1,883m), Ruchenköpfe (1,805m), Aiplspitz (1,758m) and Jagerkamp (1,746m). They are part of the Mangfall range of mountains in the northern Alps.
