About us
Ever since operation of the lift facilities on the Stümpfling, Roßkopf and Taubenstein mountains was taken over by Alpenbahnen Spitzingsee GmbH in 2003, approximately 22 million euros have been invested in the ski area. Construction of the new Roßkopf chairlift is part of a comprehensive modernization concept for this traditional and popular ski area situated on Munich’s doorstep. The following projects have been carried out within the framework of the concept: construction of two new detachable quad chairlifts with transparent protective hoods, construction of a new restaurant at the top station on Stümpfling mountain, snow cannons along the entire length of the two main runs and other parts of area, expansion and improvement of the infrastructure, commissioning of a new children’s lift and the installation of floodlights on the Stümpfling ski slope.
